I was planning to get myself a new TFT monitor quite for a while, but I never got chance to go and actually get one. Today, my old CRT monitor got burned out and I had to put something else on it\’s place. The only options were either to get some old monitor from somewhere else or to buy a new one. I didn\’t want to get an old one so I called a friend of mine Chris, who is also a main hardware supplier for me and most of the people I know and asked if he has something available. Luckily I had a very nice offer from him for Samsung SyncMaster 710N 17\” TFT monitor. Without even thinking for a second and went down to his workshop and got one – looks pretty nice.

I have finally uploaded two sample videos made with my photo camera this Sunday on my way back from Paphos. I was passing by Kurium and liked the guys flying on paraplan, so I made to small vids both available on YouTube one here and second here.

Overall I think the the quality of video is more than enough for YouTube :) (MPEG 640×480)

I have finally got myself a photo camera. I was planning to buy one for a long time and I did it. While selecting a type of camera , I had a number of criterias:- The camera should use Memory Stick Duo as a storage since I also have the same in my phone

– The camera should be 5+ megapixels (I don\’t think that whatever is above matters a lot for non-professional photographer)

– The camera should operate on AA size batteries since they are easy to find anywhere.

– The camera should use standart USB cable for connecting to PC, since it is easy to replace in case of failures

– The camera should be able to take videos in MPEG format and 640×480 size
I got myself a Sony Cybershot 600s and I like it a lot. In addition I have purchased a number of accessories like carrying case, battery charger and 1GB memory card.
