Received Originals of 9 Brainbench Certificates

Here they are – I have receive an originals (hard-copy) of 9 (out of 10) Brainbench certificates I have. I have scanned them all and uploaded to my flickr account. Unfortunately, the certificates were not packed very good and they got into rain, so some of the have very minor damages, but that actually doesn\’t matter at all for me – I still have them :)

OTEnet ADSL

It seems that there is another ISP – OTEnet, which is starting providing ADSL at their own DSL platform in Cyprus. From what I know now is that they do have their own platform (so they do not use I-Choice), that they have competitive prices, that they have options for more than 1.5MBits and that they have quite good channels for going out of Cyprus.

I am working with OTEnet for while already, since I use their service in Greece and they seem to be quite good. I have also heard nice feedback from people who use them in Cyprus, but I never had chance to check them here. What I can tell for sure, is that I had very nice support from them when I was getting a line in Greece.

Gave car to repairs

I have finally gave my car to mechanics to repair the door after the accident with my neighbor. In addition to the door, I asked the guys to check some minor stuff and fix it (on my expenses), since I have to do this sooner or later. Meanwhile, the garage have kindly provided me with another car (also Mazda) which I can use until they fix mine. I think I will consider using this garage later myself if I need something :)

Benefits of Blogging

The JRB Technology Blog has a nice post which described some benefits of blogging as well as touches the issue of what and how one should post (in some way). As it clear for me why I do have a blog and I post there: in most of the cases I just want to share of my technical experience and rarely I just want to post something about an event in my life. So people do still miss a point on what is blogging and here I totally agree with the post on JRB Technology Blog that says: \”Now, don’t go out there, start a blog, and post a bunch of crap. Post information people can actually use\”. This is the main point – either post some useful info (about your profession or your life), or don\’t just post at all.

I don\’t know if I am getting too critical on this, but this is how I see things around.

Cyprus Blog Network

Ok, I think it is time to checkup what is going on on the Cyprus Blog Network. As I have mentioned some time before, I will be checking around there and will see if it worse of checking it up.

I can see daily posts there and what is more important I read most of them till the end. This is what I like. I also like the forum functionality on the CBN (though it is yet simple) and finally, I can see that the list of friends and members is growing, which is also good. The only thing which CBN is currently missing is active users. I would like to see more people posting around and I believe that this is how it should be.

For the time being I will continue checking the Cyprus Blog Network since there is content I like over there :)
