Few photos

I have uploaded few photos on my flickr. One set is all about my rest in Columbia Beach Resort over this weekends where I was invited for (early) Christmas party and second one is about my short trip to Troodos mountains to see the snow (and test drive my Subaru to the mountains). In the second set you will also find couple of pics of my car (red one) which I have promised before

BTW, have replace car audio with Pioneer CD/MP3 player (which I already had from before) as well as put 4 Kicker speakers - ummmmitssamazzzing :)

Trip with yacht to Kastelorizo island

Last week I a friend of mine Dmitry and I went to the sailing trip to Kastelorizo island (Greece). Though it was not that easy since we were only two and we had hard time night times, the trip was amazing. We had a lot of experience every day and each day was like three days long. Photos from the trip are here (though the order is a bit messed up due to incorrect time on one of the cameras and thus incorrect EXIF data of pictures which I use for sorting).

Tuna Fishing on the Yacht

This Sunday we went for tuna fishing with the yacht. Here is a photo set from the trip as well as one video with tuna and one video with dolphins (whom we’ve met somewhere at 17 miles far from Cyprus coast at 8 am in the morning). Original videos in avi format are here: Tuna Fish, Dolphins (might require K-Lite Codecs Pack to be played on MS Windows PCs, works fine on Linux :)  )

Finally got nice sleep

It’s been long time since I had a 15 hours sleep. After a short sailing (photos here), a nice portion of meat with beer and some movie, I went to sleep at 6 pm and woke up only at 9 am today. I should do it more often.

Discovering the roads of Nicosia

Being a person from Limassol, I just hate the way of roads organized in Nicosia. Everything is so bloody complicated and non-logical for me, but due to the fact that I have to travel to Nicosia four times a week, I have to find out a way to survive.

Until recently I was just taking main roads in order not to get lost, but this takes a lot of time, especially in the mornings when there is a lot of traffic. The solution was to use Google Maps which has a quite nice picture of the Nicosia, to find the ways which are not used a lot. I managed to save 5-10 minutes of driving by leaving highway somewhere near Tseri village. This road seams to be nice, but on the map I found an even shorter way, avoiding another long way of main roads. I tried to get to this road for the past two trips, but each time I was getting lost, making a round of 30 km in Nicosia suburbs, but I think today I have finally find the right path which allows to leave highway near Tseri and go directly to the road I need (I am going to Intercollege which is somewhere near Strovolos area).
