Tuna Fishing on the Yacht

This Sunday we went for tuna fishing with the yacht. Here is a photo set from the trip as well as one video with tuna and one video with dolphins (whom we’ve met somewhere at 17 miles far from Cyprus coast at 8 am in the morning). Original videos in avi format are here: Tuna Fish, Dolphins (might require K-Lite Codecs Pack to be played on MS Windows PCs, works fine on Linux :)  )

Everything is Miscellaneous

There is a very nice talk on Google Tech Tacks named Everything is Miscellaneous where the speaker discusses problems with data organization/categorization. I am not going to cover anything from the speech here since it is better to see it. Myself I found it very relevant to a lot of problems people face everywhere like, for instance, categorizing/tagging blog posts, bookmarks, files/directories in on a file system or mailbox folders. Watch it :)

Got Addicted to SciTalks

I got too addicted to SciTalks, especially vids related to OpenSource :)

Swimming Season Openned

I am not a big fan of swimming in the sea, since I grew up on a river and don’t like salted water at all, but sometimes I still do enjoy a sea swim. The only thing is that if I go for a swim in the sea, I need to do it with some more interesting way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cGuBR9TsK4

Finally got nice sleep

It’s been long time since I had a 15 hours sleep. After a short sailing (photos here), a nice portion of meat with beer and some movie, I went to sleep at 6 pm and woke up only at 9 am today. I should do it more often.
