Watched another good movie: O Brother, Where Art Thou? It is a nice comedy + musicale (not particularly musicale, but since the movie is full of very good music I decided to add it to the musicale category as well)

Found a nice document on how to build Samba NT Domain (with OpenLDAP). Migration options also described in the document. Finally, there are a couple of links on software which can help with administrating the domain.

I\’ve did it once few years ago and without OpenLDAP. Want to try with OpenLDAP now :)

This time I am a bit lost with VNC :(

The idea is that I need to make a kind of remote access to the workstations (Win XP) in the NAT from outside and one way to do it (as I thought) was to set up a VirtualHost on Apache (of course with SSL and Auth and all the rest) and then use mod_proxy and VNC web client to do the job.

Everything would be fine if VNC Java applet would give me to do this, but it doesn\’t work pretty good through proxy :( Anyway, after playing around a VNC Web client I realized that it is not too comfortable so I need to find some other (prettier) solution to this problem.

Checked Kopete and Licq today. Kopete looks nice and supports many protocols, but have some problems with encodings (when using russian) while Licq is much lighter and faster, but supports only ICQ protocol.

Since I am using only ICQ (I need MSN only for one contact and am going to push that guy to switch to ICQ) I decided to keep Licq for default.
